The clinicians at The Carlile Therapy Group provide Individual Therapy to adults of all ages and believe in tailoring our therapeutic approach to each individual client to ensure they are benefitting from sessions. Therefore, we use a variety of therapeutic modalities including the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM®), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT™), Motivational Interviewing, and Experiential work in individual sessions. Individual therapy focuses foremost on building a strong therapeutic relationship and is particularly helpful for those individuals looking to work on trauma, relationship issues, addictions, eating disorders/body image issues, anxiety, depression, ACOA/codependency, self-esteem issues, LGBTQ+ issues, etc.

If you believe you can answer “yes” to any of the following questions, Individual Therapy might be a good option for you:

  • Do you find that you are feeling “stuck” in similar patterns regardless of what you attempt to implement to get out of them?
  • Have you recently experienced a traumatic event and believe you could benefit from support in processing it?
  • Are you newly sober and looking to continue investing in creating a sustainable sober life for yourself?
  • Have you ever or do you currently struggle with an eating disorder or disordered eating and feel it would be beneficial to seek professional support on developing a healthier relationship with food and your body?
  • Are you having a difficult time handling the struggles in your life and believe you could use an expert’s support to navigate what you’re going through–or a non-judgmental ear just to listen?
  • Do you think you could benefit most from individualized attention?
  • Are you hesitant to talk to others about your problems?

If you’ve been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life. Individual therapy helps you win against whatever you’re battling by putting a real expert in your corner by means of a professional therapist.

So if any of these sound like you…

  • You wish there was somebody who could help you understand why you feel this way.
  • You don’t know who you could ever trust with knowing about your secret struggle.
  • You’re interested in therapy, but you don’t want to give up total control.
  • Other areas of your life are being negatively impacted by your struggles.
  • You need somebody to listen to you and your feelings.
  • You’re interested in therapy, but not sure how it could fit into your life.
  • You keep worrying about the same problem over and over.

…Then individual therapy could be right for you.

Individual therapy is so helpful for so many people because it’s the best way to get truly customized therapy. If you want to ensure you have control over the methods used in your therapy, the pacing, the amount of analysis or feedback you receive, and the timing of your sessions; you owe it to yourself to look into individual therapy.

If you’re looking for help in improving your everyday life – or for a more tailored therapy experience – you would be a great fit for individual therapy services.
