Hi There! I’m Meg (she/her). I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and relocated to South Florida for graduate school in 2014 where I lived and worked for about a decade before moving to Denver, CO with my wife, Elie, and co-founding The Carlile Therapy Group. During my time in Florida I gained experience working in community mental health, inpatient drug and alcohol treatment and individual private practice. I am happiest when outside or surrounded by family and friends. I love traveling, cooking and am always searching for my next hobby or adventure to feed my soul. I believe strongly in the power of the relationship in therapy and that in order for true healing to occur we must address the mind and the body. I therefore use a relational and trauma-informed, somatically oriented approach drawing primarily from NARM® and EMDR in order to help clients identify and overcome barriers and reclaim their lives.

My passion lies in helping individuals unravel the intricate threads of trauma in order to illuminate a path towards self-regulation and healthy relationships. I operate from the belief that while we cannot change our history we can address the adaptations needed to survive it that now serve as barriers in our adult lives. My primary focus is treating individuals suffering from symptoms stemming from complex trauma, PTSD, and relational trauma. Through my journey into trauma work I have also found passion in working with loved ones of trauma survivors as well as therapists and other helping professionals experiencing burnout, secondary trauma, and countertransference. I am dedicated to providing a safe place for clients to begin their journey of post traumatic healing and growth. My approach is rooted in creating a warm and inviting environment where you can feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. In our therapeutic relationship, trust, safety and relational consent are paramount.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Utah. I have earned my Level III certificate in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM®) for the treatment of Developmental Trauma and am trained in EMDR. I also have over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families overcoming impacts of addiction, personality disorders, mood disorders, family system issues, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am licensed to treat clients in Colorado, Florida and Utah.
