Hello! My name is Elie (she/her). I am a Minnesota native who relocated to South Florida in 2013 to begin my career in the mental health field. I opened an individual private practice in 2020 after working at an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center for 7 years, and I made the decision to move in 2024 to Denver, CO with my wife, Meg, where we co-founded The Carlile Therapy Group! I love traveling (both domestically and internationally), hiking, reading, yoga, going to concerts; and I LOVE good food. I have always loved working with people and find it incredibly rewarding to watch people become more deeply connected with their authentic selves.
As a therapist, my passion lies in providing a safe and nurturing space for individuals, couples and families seeking to heal patterns of relational and developmental trauma–particularly those intertwined with substance abuse, eating disorder behaviors and complexities involved with being a member of the LGBTQIA+ population. Understanding that these issues often stem from deeper, unresolved wounds; I provide gentle and compassionate exploration to support my clients in resolving their issues and building a more relieving, satisfying and fulfilling life. Together, we'll work collaboratively to unravel the intricate layers of your experiences, shining light on the patterns that may have shaped your journey thus far.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and in New York; and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have earned my Level II certificate in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM®) for the treatment of Developmental Trauma and am Level III certified in Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT™). I also have over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families overcoming impacts of addiction. I am licensed to treat clients in Colorado, Florida, and New York and am a member of the National Board for Certified Counselors.
